Franchise Rugby League is set to launch a women’s competition alongside the men’s tournament for the 2024 season, as the competition is committed to providing equal opportunities across both the men’s and women’s game.
Each Franchise Rugby League game-day will consist of a double header, with both the men’s and women’s teams competing against one another.
Franchise Rugby League’s Women’s Competition will provide an excellent opportunity for women’s rugby league to flourish in the south of England and Spain. The competition aims to create a platform for women’s rugby league to expand and develop, with the tournament receiving the same exposure and financial support as the men’s tournament.
Additionally, the draft system will operate for both tournaments, providing an opportunity for the women’s game to shine and established players to mentor the next generation as women’s rugby league continues to grow.
The Franchise Rugby League Women’s Competition aims to provide a platform for women’s rugby league to flourish, and we look forward to witnessing the growth and development of the competition in the years to come.
